Last week, The Fantastic Cake by Joy Cowley, was our big book for the week. We decided to make a fantastic cake on Friday, but we wanted to make it a little different so we made a feijoa cake. Here is a video of what we did.
Here are Katie and Avantika's stories about making the feijoa cake.

Katie's story was nice.
I like the way your read your stories fast. Not like a robot.
The cake was nice.
Please don't tell Mr Heihei that we took his feijoas.
The feijoa was nice to eat.
Hello A4
I have never of feijoa. Is it a fruit? Your cake looked delicious. We have read The Fantastic Cake by Joy Cowley too. She is one of my favourite authors. Did Chester or Stu try to eat your cake?

You guys wrote good stories. That cake was so yum I hope we can make it in A1 on Thursday.
YUMMY! It looked like a fantastic cake just like in the book.
You guys should be on Food TV.
You wrote great stories Katie and Avantika and you read them in very clear voices. The feijoa cake looks so delicious that A1 wants to make one. We will have to get the recipe from you.
Hi A4, we could smell your cake after it was finished cooking and it smelled delicious! I'm glad it didn't try to run away.
Miss Mac and A3
I have never had a feijoa cake. What did it taste like?
Hi Learning Together,
Yes a feijoa is a soft, green fruit that grows on trees. Feijoas are very sweet and they are nice raw or cooked. We didn't give any to Stu or Chester, but Chester kept squealing because he could smell the cake in our classroom.
Yes Joy Cowley is one of our favourite authors, too!
Hi Mrs Clark, it tasted a lot like banana cake, but it was sweeter.
Hi A4,
I'm Katie's mum and I enjoyed watching your video. It looked like you all loved eating that cake. It looked like a very yummy cake. Well done everybody!
