Wally Turns 7!

On Friday, Wally the giraffe turned 7 years old. A3 invited us to a special surprise birthday party. Wally did not suspect a thing. We had so much fun at the party. Here is a video of the highlights.

Vegetable Soup!

Our Garden has grown so much since last term, so we decided to make vegetable soup. It was very nutritious and delicious. Check out our slideshow. 

Wally Returns!

Today we received a parcel from our friends in Australia. It was Wally the giraffe. He has returned from his holiday and he brought back presents for all of us!

Gidday, Gidday

Our visitors Wally and Wattle have been in Auckland for two weeks now. Today we skyped again with our friends the Prep Ks to see what Wally has been up to Melbourne, Australia.

We sang a song for each other and shared a lot of information about our mascots. The most exciting part was meeting the Prep K's new chicks. Here is a video of our exchange.

Wally's Holiday

Last year, Wally travelled all the way to Springston in Christchurch. This year, Wally is taking his first trip across the ditch to meet the Prep K's in Melbourne. He was very excited about going, he even bought a new suitcase!

Learning Together!

Today A3 and A4 skyped with a school in Melbourne, Australia. They are our blogging buddies and their blog is called Learning Together.

Next term, our giraffe Wally will be flying on a plane to Melbourne and the Prep K's mascots Wattle and Wally will be coming to our school. We asked them a lot of questions about Wattle and Wally and they wanted to know about Wally our giraffe. They even met our school cat Poppy! We can't wait to meet Wattle and Wally the wombats.

Skype No.2!

 We skyped with the Springston Explorers again on Monday morning. Wally is having a great time. Room 8 sang us a fantastic song and we got to ask each other more questions. Check out this video.

After we skyped, some of the children decided to write stories in Nana's special book.

We have not skyped with another school before and it was very exciting. We were worried that Wally might have been in an earthquake, but he was fine. Room 8 were holding Wally very carefully and we could see that Wally was having a great time.

Wally's Vacation

Today Wally is going to Christchurch!! He is going to visit our blogging buddies The Springston Explorers. They are also sending A3 and A4 a package and we can't wait to see what is in it! We wrote a lot of letters today and sent them with Wally.
